Fall Cleanup November 1st
Cleanup and mulching volunteers needed November 1st.
Twice per year the Friends of Deep Eddy, Austin Parks Foundation and Austin Parks and Recreation join to spruce up, beautify and renew the grounds around our beautiful pool. This Fall volunteers will gather on Saturday November 1st. The Austin Parks Foundation, as part of “My Park Day,” provides resources and will deliver a dumptruck-load of mulch to the parking lot which we will shovel up, wheelbarrow around, spread under tree canopies, and rake into place. It’s great exercise to counter-balance your swimming muscles! Learn more and register here.
Keeping our parks and pools open, safe and accessible hinges upon cooperation between staff, citizens and patrons alike. Small acts like thanking lifeguards for serving us can boost morale and retention of those crucial employees. You can also help new lap swimmers understand circle swimming etiquette. Everyone can help keep Deep Eddy Pool a peaceful oasis for the people of Austin.
Thank you and I hope to see you on Saturday, November 1st!
